WCA Owner/Tenant Contact Update Form

Maintaining current contact information helps the board and its committees reach owners and tenants with important board announcements as well as during emergency events such as a water/gas main break or to report storm damage to vehicles or other property.  Each owner and paying tenant should complete a separate form.  Non-resident owners should enter their address at the end of the form.  Note: You do NOT need to have a Google account in order to update and submit the form.

Reston Association has hired Lake Services Inc. to perform Lake Anne Dock & Dredging, Lake Anne Canal Bulkhead, and Lake Anne Canal Dredging starting in February 2020

Hello Representatives of Lake Anne Plaza,

Reston Association has hired Lake Services Inc. to perform several capital projects for Reston Association in 2020. These projects include Lake Anne Dock & Dredging, Lake Anne Canal Bulkhead, and Lake Anne Canal Dredging. At this time, we are forecasting a February 17th , 2020 mobilization at inlet court. Attached is a notification letter that can be referenced and distributed. While we have tried to identify all affected clusters, please feel free to distribute this email if someone was forgotten.

A brief highlight of each project is also below.

  • The Lake Anne Dock & Dredge: project entails the 70% reconstruction of the dock in a like for like fashion as well as dredging of accumulated sediment beneath the long dock. This scope is based on recommendations from engineers as well as contractors to fulfill the primary objectives of the project which are to restore to a “like new” condition and extend the dock’s useful life an additional 15-20 years.
  • Lake Anne Canal Bulkhead: Replacement of approximately 300 linear feet of  wooden sheet pile bulkhead in a like for like fashion along the Green Trail directly behind North Shore Pool. The pathway directly above the bulkhead will be repaved and the stairwell leading to North Shore Pool will be replaced following construction.
  • Lake Anne Canal Dredging: Removal of approximately 1,000 square yards of accumulated sediment from the canal bottom. This will be done via a hydraulic dredging barge. The sediment will be transported to inlet court where it will be loaded onto trucks and transported to a disposal site in Loudoun County.

We anticipate all three projects taking approximately 74 days from start to finish, weather dependent. Lake Anne Dock and Green Trail by North Shore Pool will be inaccessible to the public for the entirety of the project due to safety reasons. Please follow posted detour signage and use caution when near construction zones.

Sincerely,
