Maintaining current contact information helps the board and its
committees reach owners and tenants with important board announcements
as well as during emergency events such as a water/gas main break or to
report storm damage to vehicles or other property. Each owner
and paying tenant should complete a separate form.
Non-resident owners should enter their address at the end of the
form. Note: You do NOT need to have a Google account in order
to update and submit the form.

Reston RELAC A/C Utility announcement -- 06-April-2023

Dear RELAC customer,
This is the hottest beginning of April in the last 10 years that we can remember. We are not able to start A/C services at this time. At the start of a season RELAC has a 2 week process for getting the plant ready after the winter shutdown. We started that process a few days ago.
The Virginia State Corporation Commission regulates how RELAC does business. They have defined the cooling season to be from May 22nd thru October 9th. If we have two consecutive 80 degree days in May we are to start at noon on that 2nd day.
Every year in the last 11 years we have started before May 22. Our earliest start date was April 29th. RELAC will watch the weather and make decisions on when we go operational.
We will be ready for operations before May 1st. When temperatures dictate we will start operations and let you know. Most years we have started operations before we were required to.
