Oct. 21, 2020 Dear Neighbors, There are so many of our residents in Hunter Mill District that I consider to be everyday heroes. They are not loud and don't seek the spotlight but they are quietly doing small and big actions that benefit all of us in the community. Reston RELAC A/C - End of season notice

Thank you for a good season.  We officially shutdown operation at noon on October 9th

We had a few extra challenges this year with Covid but we made it through the season

with our crew staying healthy.

With people staying at home more this year than normal we noticed a different pattern

of usage.  There wasn’t the late afternoon everyone getting home and turning down

the A/C.  instead it was a continuous demand all day long.  

As normal we have some maintenance to perform before we empty the pipes for those

who need the main valves replaced.  RELAC will send out a notice with the dates as we

get closer to completion.  You can contact our service department or your HVAC contractor

to schedule any work you may need.

Oct. 7, 2020 Dear Neighbors, The county announced yesterday that almost 3,000 individuals have volunteered 96,006 hours since mid-March to assist with pandemic relief efforts. And it should be noted, saving the county a substantial amount of our tax dollars. During these difficult days, our volunteers have stepped up to make a difference and I am grateful and humbled by your efforts – thank you!   I'm especially heartened to see the outstanding volunteer efforts by our younger residents! Sept. 30, 2020 Dear Neighbors, At the end of the first week of early voting on Friday (9/25), the county's Office of Elections reported that 7,760 votes were cast in person at the Fairfax County Government Center. This is an almost 300% increase compared to 2016!   While there is a lot of interest and excitement around this election, there has also been some confusion.
